Hi there! I’m so glad you are here on my page and reading this! If you want to know a little about me… my name is Nicole Wood, and I am so blessed to live in one of the most beautiful countries in the world – South Africa!
I’m a full-time Stockbroker by profession, but it’s my relationship with God that defines who I really am. I enjoy the excitement of the financial markets, however, my passions extend to writing, travel and interior decorating. I’m so privileged to be able to write for the ladies ministry of one of the local churches in the city where I live – Pretoria.
The ultimate joy for me is being able to inspire and encourage someone through an article based on God’s word. I have a deep passion for His Word and the way that it transcends time and space to become personable to the reader. After all, the Word is Jesus. And He comes and lives in our words if we glorify Him through it.
My writing journey started when my mother was diagnosed with cancer a couple of years ago. We were trusting God for her healing and I found myself contemplating His Faithfulness. I tried to contrast it with my own faith, and of course, it fell way short! As we were continuing to trust for a miracle, I wanted to improve my faith. After all, Jesus says in Matthew 17:20: “…if you have faith as small as a mustard seed you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there’, and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”
I poured my passion for writing into an eBook simply titled “The Faithfulness of God” and while I did it, I realized that we cannot hope to increase our own faith unless we know how faithful God is.
Just like His love for us:
1 John 4:19: “We love because He first loved us”. Our knowledge and understanding of His love for us form the foundation of our love for Him.
In the same way, I believe that if we truly understand His faithfulness towards us, our faith will increase and multiply rapidly and exponentially.
And He did miraculously heal my mother, she has been in remission now for over 5 years.
I’m nothing on my own – but like all of His children – I have His Words inside me and for this very reason I cannot do anything but write and proclaim it by whatever means may reach anyone desperate to know Him more.
May you be blessed in reading this.
